Warren's favorite verse is from Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Next to the Bible, some of his favorite books are:  Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan, What's So Amazing about Grace by Philip Yancey, The Life and Teaching of Jesus Christ by James S. Stewart, and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

In his free time, Warren enjoys swimming, hiking, and listening to the Chicago Cubs.

Michael Hinnen, Associate Minister

Michael joined BCC's staff as the Associate Minister in July 2018. He is the son of Roger and Karen Hinnen, and the brother to James and Sarah. He grew up around El Dorado, KS and graduated from Flinthills High School in 2013. Michael attended Independence Community College for a year to play football and baseball, but realized he had grown stagnant in his faith. He decided to transfer to Ozark Christian College in Joplin, where he fell in love with Jesus all over again and felt a call into full-time ministry.  He then changed his degree to theology and began preaching at a small church in Madison, KS where he would preach for the next 3 years. Michael graduated from Ozark in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Theology and Lincoln Christian Seminary with his Master's of Divinity in 2022.

Michael married his best friend, Jonelle Delight Hinnen in 2017. They have a heart for helping people take their next steps toward Jesus, and enjoy working out together, listening to books, and hanging out with friends. They welcomed their first child, Liliana June, into their family in March 2023.

Michael's favorite verse from the Bible is Romans 8.28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

Jennifer Brewer, Administrative ministry assistant

Jennifer Brewer joined the BCC staff in September 2009. After 12 years of teaching high school math in CUSD#16, she decided it was time to better utilize her spiritual gifts of administration, service, and helps. Not many people find data entry and bundling newsletters to be fulfilling, but Jennifer does. :)

Jennifer is from northern Illinois (Polo) and graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics in 1996. She enjoys escape rooms, puzzles, chocolate, reading, roller skating, cross-stitching, making soap, rooting for the Chicago White Sox, and rocking out to Skillet.

In her lifetime, Jennifer has served on several Habitat for Humanity mission trips around the country. She has also served with BCC at I.D.E.S. in Indiana - packing meals and building shed walls, and as a chaperon on several youth trips to Winter Jam, SICOM, and NYR.

Jennifer's favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 3:17, "For it is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil." That verse was always visible in Jennifer's home when she was a teen.  :)

Jennifer and her husband, Matt, married in 1998 and have 2 children, Nathan and Lainey. The Brewers have 2 cats - Smoky and Janessa.

The Brewer family joined the BCC family in May of 2008.
